Cookie Policy

Last updated: 10 September 2026

1. What are cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. We also use similar browser storage technology (such as local storage) for the same purposes. This policy explains what we use, and why.

2. Essential cookies and storage

These are always active, as they're required for the site to function, and cannot be switched off:

  • Site access:used before launch to remember that you've entered our early-access password, so you aren't asked again on every page. The site-access cookie expires after 30 days.
  • Account sign-in: used to keep admin users securely signed in.
  • Basket:your basket contents are saved in your browser's local storage so items stay in your basket between visits. This stays on your device and is never sent to a server until you check out.

3. Analytics cookies

These help us understand how visitors use the site, so we can improve it. They are optional, only load if you accept them below, and can be turned off at any time:

  • Google Analytics:sets cookies to collect usage information and pseudonymous identifiers about how you use the site. Only loaded once you've given consent. Google processes this in the United States; see the international transfers section of our Privacy Policy.
  • Vercel Web Analytics:a privacy-friendly analytics service that does not use cookies or store personal identifiers, and only runs when you accept analytics. Vercel's primary processing facilities are in the United States.

4. Storage lifetimes

Google Analytics cookies (_ga and _ga_*) expire after one year without extending their lifetime on each visit. We disable advertising features. Your analytics preference, delivery-country preference and basket use local storage with no automatic expiry; they remain until you clear site data or update them. Temporary basket navigation state uses session storage and ends when the tab closes. Withdrawing consent stops analytics and removes Google Analytics cookies set by this site.

5. Managing your preferences

You can accept or reject analytics cookies from the banner shown on your first visit, or change your mind at any time using the button below. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings, though essential cookies are needed for parts of the site, like your basket, to work correctly.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this cookie policy from time to time to reflect changes in the technology we use or for legal and regulatory reasons. Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
